LT KEITH A. QUILES, NSCC

Lt. Quiles’ military career includes service as a Petty Officer 2nd Class in the US Navy (1989-1998).  He served onboard the USS Ponce (LPD-15), USS Kidd (DDG-993) and Naval Nuclear Power Training Command, Orlando.  Quiles’ military awards include the Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist Badge, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (two awards), and various campaign and service awards.  He left active duty to pursue a career in Information Technology.

As an IT professional, Quiles started his career with Lockheed Martin in 1999 as a contractor and was hired full time in 2000 as Sr Computer Systems Analyst.  He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from Columbia College.

Quiles began his involvement with the Sea Cadets in 2017, first as Operations Officer for American Pride Squadron.  His subsequent assignments have included Executive Officer before taking command of American Pride Squadron from 2019 to 2022.  Quiles has completed all levels of USNSCC officer development, staffed multiple advanced trainings, and currently serves as the Regional Director of Region 6-8 and the Central Florida Detachment Commander. 

Quiles is married to his wife Andrea, who also is a volunteer with the Sea Cadets. Together they have 3 daughters and 5 grandchildren.  Quiles has enjoyed volunteering as a Martial Arts instructor for both children and adults for over 10 years.  When he is not volunteering, he enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, swimming and having fun with all the kids.
