LTJG Hawk is a retired E-5 (SGT) with the US Army, and a Combat Veteran with 2 tours in Iraq and 1 in Afghanistan. LTJG Hawk was retired in 2012 after suffering combat related injuries that made him unable to continue his service to his country. LTJG Hawk volunteered while on active duty in the Army overseas working with the USO and MWR helping to provide shows and entertainment for his fellow brothers and sisters of the Armed Forces. As a soldier, LTJG Hawk was among a few of the most decorated junior enlisted Soldiers in his unit because of his hard work and dedication. His military awards include:

Army Service Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Army Overseas Service Ribbon 3rd Award, Army Good Conduct Medal 2nd Award, Army Good Conduct Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Meritorious Unit Citation 3rd Award, Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal 2nd Award, Iraqi Campaign Medal 2nd Award, NATO Medal.

LTJG Hawk is currently serving as the Training Group Southeast 01 Executive Officer and is the current Commanding Officer of the Lone Sailor Division located in Windermere Fl. in Region 6-8. LTJG Hawk's unit has won multiple awards in the NSCC Program that include:

2022 JOHN J. BERGEN AWARD (TOP NSCC UNITS IN THE NATION) ranking in the top 10 in the nation, 2022 CHAIRMAN’S AWARD FOR RECRUITING/RETENTION (TOP 20% OF ALL ELIGIBLE NSCC UNITS LIST), 2022 TOP UNIT IN EACH REGION for being the top unit in Region 6, LTJG Hawk is a Lifetime Member of The National Association of the 10th Mountain Division.
